NAPA, Idaho (CNN) Airbnb is offering to help a homeless couple who lost their homes in the Las Vegas shooting.
The company said Wednesday that it’s working with a Nevada couple who are searching for housing in an underwater hotel.
They were staying in an Airbnb room with three other people and a small dog at a resort in Nevada last week when they were taken hostage by unknown gunmen.
Airbnb said the group was using the platform for guests to stay with friends, to rent out rooms and to rent car rental cars for the day.
The resort in question is located about 10 miles south of Las Vegas, about 60 miles north of Reno.
Airbus has offered to help the couple with their search for housing, and Airbnb said it will provide hotel rooms for the duration of their stay.
Airbnbs hosts will be able to rent rooms for up to six months, with rates starting at $500 a night, Airbnb said.
AirBNbs offers guests a suite at a discounted rate that includes security.
Airbnb said they’ll give them the option to pay their share upfront, with a one-time payment of $500.
The couple has not yet contacted Airbnb about the offer.
